Standing as a striking new addition to the city’s streetscape, the design of Melbourne Place by Kennedy Nolan relies on a deeply considered material palette. To bring their vision to life, the architects selected a bespoke Light Grampian Blues blend of Krause Bricks.
Manufactured using time-honoured traditional methods, the bricks feature incredible natural variation in both colour and texture.
This bespoke blend gives the towering façade a profound sense of depth and warmth, coming alive and taking on a beautiful, luminous quality in the soft evening light. From the ground floor up, the project is a stunning celebration of local materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and high-quality urban design.
