Situated opposite Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, Matilda is the latest creation of Scott Pickett, the Chef/Restaurateur behind other Melbourne foodie institutions such as Estelle and Saint Crispin.
Comprising of a ground level restaurant and basement function room, it’s sole focus is seasonal cooking over open flame. The interior design includes commissions with Victorian makers, including Krause Bricks who created custom black Emperor bricks to complement the smoke and fire theme of the interior.
